The Tokyo Marathon was held on Feb. 26, 2012. For the first time, I also went to see the Tokyo Marathon Expo at Tokyo Big Sight on the day before the race.

The Tokyo Marathon Expo is held for three days before the marathon day. Tokyo Big Sight is where the marathon's finish line is in Koto Ward, Tokyo.

The Tokyo Marathon Expo is basically a trade show showing products related to running. Shoes, treadmills, clothing, official merchandise, etc.

The Tokyo Marathon Expo was held from 11 am to 8 pm. Free admission.

On the marathon day on Feb. 26, 2012, I was at the finish line at Tokyo Big Sight. Wheelchair race winner.

2012 Tokyo Marathon winner Michael Kipyego won with 2:07:37, the third fastest time in Tokyo Marathon history. 35,000 runners this year. Entry fee is 10,000 yen.

Arata Fujiwara was second with personal best of 2:07:48. This was also his ticket to the London Summer Olympics.
